Joe , You recall the C124s parked out Avonhead Rd on there last deployment , and even had a huge die cast model in the southern wing upstairs in the old Christchurch Terminal smile.gif

I think my parents were only just born then Ian!! biggrin.gif But what a sight it would have been!!Have seen many a photo in Tony
Phillips book "Gateway to the ice" and "With Great Foresight"--including one where they were in formation over the port hills-very cool aircraft!! I think I remember the model though....

Another great book to add too your shelf is 'NAC' by Waugh , Layne , McConnell , NAC , Auckland Wellington Christchurch in its devolpment smile.gif

Yes, I believe I saw that at WOW 2010-- was going to get it but saw "Air New Zealand" by Paul sheehan which is sort of like a pictorial history, really cool book with lots of great historical shots in it, and it was cheap too!!
