They were used as engine test beds and all sorts off experiments carrying all sorts on the inner wing pylons , NASA s fleet has many other combat types , their U2 s where even used from Christchurch on many occasions to monitor air and exhaust when Concorde,s arrived in New Zealand .

How many refueling stops for a Concorde to get from the UK to NZ?

Dave , The flights were not direct from the UK , they bounced all over they place , on one flight out of Christchurch 1989 recall - top end off the rudder broke away going to supersonic flight , they felt a bump , was not until coming into Sydney Tower told them they are missing half the rudder , they were used for world tours and stopped off to many destinations for the rich , my sister in-law parents Won a world flight , I should see if Jodie can ask her parents and track down the flight and stop-offs for the matter off interest .
