Inspired by Noddy's P51, left Nassau in my Mustang to see how Rex was handling Hurricane Irene. Apparently it's not considered current weather.

Great images!

Just an advisory, and I'm sure you know this already, is that local weather stations (likely the source of this program's weather engine) will often completely shut down when a hurricane gets close. That may be why you are seeing pleasant weather.

I was reading about this Rhodesian arms gunrunner in the mid 70s , regularly breaking all the rules , the story gos being chased by one of the corrupt govt of the time in his private spitfire , last seen flying into a thundercloud , they found the aircraft many months later , the Spitfire was shown to be ripped apart by the storm he flew into , guess he got his just deserve .

Reminds me of my radar days in the Ohio valley. Guys out there in a line of those suckers begging for a helpful vector and our radar was designed to suppress weather returns. 'Suggested heading' was the key, so the lawyers said and we had many customers happy with our 'suggestions'.
