While 'GoogleEarth'ing an inspiration for the October contest, I found the Hutt river and its super-long sandbars. Took my trusty Auster and gave them a go.

Landed downstream, normally a no-no but what the heck it's Flight Sim.

To give an idea how long these are, I'm standing at the end looking back at the plane where it landed - gotta be at least 1500 ft.

Indeed, nice shots smile.gif though in fact they're more large river stones and boulders than sand in the real Hutt River... smile.gif
