The Nimrod another RAF run down , mind you it really has severed its time , Marty you must have been present at the Fincastle trophy at Edinbourgh couple times with RNZAF P3s ... don't think the ole Panther would have been there tho biggrin.gif

Not at Edinbourgh, but a few here and in Oz......even lucky enough to score a ride in a Nimrod......back then they (RAF) were cleaning up every comp, they had found the sub before they took off dry.gif The best Fincastle i was involved with, gave me the chance to do a patrol in an CAF Argus.....what a beast.....smoke , noice, vibrations ,.....just awesome.

It was Ian.....even got to sit in the seat right in the nose......felt like a goldfish, but great. I remember when they left after the exercise, we loaded about 3 pallets of butter into the aircraft......must have been cheap at the time......but thats not important right now winkyy.gif
