I have been trolling through multiple websites on the net regarding the new "Flight" (or FSX SP3) build and as I go back through the Flight's website images and videos I am increasingly getting more and more excited about the prospect of getting much higher framerates by default. I think even if there's not much difference (I beg to differ with this opinion though) I reackon that Flight will be a much smoother and immersive simulation. I have sat down and disected the screenshots for flight and I see a tonne of differences (the smaller details that we don't see at first glance) that we can appreciate. things like textures blending more into each other naturally, bloom and sky relationship, fog/haze generation, shadows, cliff face blending, etc... these bits seem to be the core of discussion these days with FSX. Just think, all the little programs here and there that are filling the gaps for FSX (i.e shade, bloom "ENB" that crashes alot) will not be needed by default and a nice clean installation will (presumably) suffice. I don't mind at all if Flight is an offcut from the same piece of cheese FSX is from but from what I can see, developers will have a field day with some of the stuff we can see from the screenies. Anyway, that's enough from me, I have attached a screenshot from the first video I saw for Flight to try and inject some hope in the next Flight sim product.

Cheers,

Kelvin

Yep if it does end up being a closed sim with no ATC or airliners etc.. and all the other bad rumors come true, it would sure be nice if they made a paid service pack for FSX so we could enjoy all the new lighing and atmosphere effects.....
