Pionair used to be a private company operating corporate and scenic flights around New Zealand using renovated DC-3's. Unfortunately, they have just sold off thier fleet, leaving only 1 airworthy DC-3 left in the country.

Today I flew a memorial flight in ZK-AMS from Masterton (NZMS) to Wellington (NZWN) over the Tararua Ranges and took the following shots. I chose ZK-AMS as there was an advert in a recent edition of the "Pacific Wings" aviation magazine I own, selling her for NZ550,000 and I just thought I'd see if it was worth that price ;)

My conclusion? Well if I had half a mill then I'd buy myself a DC-3, but as I don't I am happy to settle for this free repaint from flightsim.com :D
