As part of my tidy up (ie. Remove the crud, just put back in what I *really* like), I had to reinstall the JF Comet (a screencomp prize from many moons ago).

I owe it to Scott at JustFlight as he sorted out my re-registration instantaneously. Support like that leaves a nice warm fuzzy feeling winkyy.gif thumbup1.gif

So here's a flight that started in NZAA, dropped in at NZWN, then ended up sight-seeing around the Abel Tasman.

An amazing VC .. seems to have real *depth*. You actually feel as if you're sitting *in* it - as opposed to looking at a (flat) screen 2ft away from your nose winkyy.gif

Environmentally friendly ... NOT!

Thanks, JustFlight!

I love the shape of that aircraft, it's just lovely to look at. You've captured it well imo.

Thanks (all) ... I have to admit it's a very easy plane to photograph - looks good at almost any angle - but for an add-on as a whole, it just has that "certain something". Some add-ons can be highly detailed yet somehow sterile (particularly the jets) ... this Comet sort of sneaks up on you winkyy.gif. If I hadn't have won it, I'd have bought it.

I hope JF do the Bristol Britannia - it falls into the same bracket, somehow.

Thanks - I did have a freebie version (can't remember whose it was, but I do remember a "v1.0"). The exterior model was OK, but the cockpit (and functionality) was a bit basic. No disrespect, but compared to a payware aircraft, I mean.

Great shots, really like the last one, it just looks right (if that makes sense) thumbup1.gif

It is good to see a less common aircraft, and these screenshots are a fine mixture.

Last couple of shots are the star ones, sort of historic and atmospheric at the same time,

Smooth landings.

The Comet sure is a nice aircraft. As they say, if it looks "right" it generally will fly "right".
Great captures of the classic jet aircraft.

Stunning shots...it does bring out the nice clean lines of the Comet.

If only airliners looked like this now...can you imagine a larger modern day Comet with a swept fin, new wing with winglets, new engines (but still buried in the wing) and a glass cockpit - would be a lot nicer the same all airliners you get now.

I agree, Paul. All the jetliners these days look like clones. Hard to tell even the Boeings from the Airbus's sad.gif

the comet has one of my fav VCs, it has that feel that modern day tubes dont have,

overall i like the comet, just not a fan of the textures, JF make the most difficult Paintkits to work with, i would have loved to see some more paints for this

great pics buy the way, might do a flight over the pond into auckland today i think

Yes - it's a shame about the way JF handle repaints. I've seen it mentioned negatively in quite a few reviews. It does seem as if JF "shoot themselves in the foot" slightly, as popular repaints are one way of increasing sales of the base aircraft.

I spend as much time outside the cockpit as in, so really enjoy all the different liveries of the various aircraft I have.

I'll see if I can stretch my Comet to a flight over from NZAA to my (ORBX) YBCS - that should raise a few eyebrows laugh.gif

I was very sure David Chester was in the planning stages doing the Britannia , I have his VC-10 the first of his paywares .

By the way Greg stopped here couple days back .. looking at your Comet Screens , he was almost to buy it winkyy.gif .... think hes going to quit stopping here
