I've been messing around with some (until now) unknown bits in Photoshop, lighting and HDR effects.......maybe a little over done i think (A-10), I'll keep at it.

They tend to warn you off HDR unless you have this or that but I see some nice detail in those shots. Bug has forced me to finally pull out the Photoshop book and try to discover some of his secrets smile.gif .

Its a big book Dave......the HDR stuff isn't too scary, you just have to try this, try that.....sometimes what you think wont work...works.
I study Dani's stuff and try to replicate the look....the main thing he appears to do is take the colour way back, and soften the whole thing a little.....and I'm sure a lot more. Its great to have someone of that calibre here to learn from....but its not easy.

Comes down to what you think looks good, ....and a good aircraft is the most important part for me, then the atmosphere, then the scenery.
These days the high quality scenery can make a good aircraft look like a cartoon (eg Hamilton X ...Photo real) you really need to work hard in that area, just to try and match the background..... thank god they have a lot of fog up there winkyy.gif

Dave, i dont think you need to study much at all thumbup1.gif

No problem at all , please don't think I'm trying to copy everything you do.....its just your style that really interests me. I can picture in my mind what the finished shot should look like....but actually getting that "look" is so hard.

Thanks again.....or as they say in Japan "Arigato gozaimasu senpai" ....thank you very much master notworthy.gif

Looks great. thumbup1.gif Photoshop does take a bit of learning. It's an extremely powerful program that can make things look brilliant if used right, but can have the opposite effect just as easily.

So true......if we had a "worst screen ever comp" I would win hands down, I've stuffed up so many good shots .

The thing I find frustrating is I will muck up a good screen, but I lose my inspiration and can never get it to look right again. angry.gif

I hate that as well, so now...if i think I'm onto a good one, i save it at each step, so if you do stuff it you can go back.
Most photo edit software has endless "undo" or "go back" capability (thank goodness). I use 3 different programmes for each shot, if i think its a keeper. Start with photoshop CS5, and then into Corel photopaint x2, and finish off with picasa....only because I dont fully understand everything in PS5 , and the other 2 have features I'm comfy with...sounds a bit odd but that's what i do rolleyes.gif
