One type that was a regular parked out at Christchurch was a Lakes amphib , hav,nt seen him in years .

I remember that little plane, i think it was owned by a guy Berryman (of berrymans stationary)

Originally the Colonial 'Skimmer'. The FBO at McGrath AK had one - said it was the 'fastest speedboat on the river, would run just below flying speed 'til the cylinders melted'.

It certainly would and an unusal formation...and probably too difficult for me to pull off

If you rolled the Seabee inverted and pulled, you'd get it up to the Mustang's approach speed. Be an interesting, not to mention challenging, formation shot.
