just messing about with some colour effects , trying for a 50's, dull colour, slightly grainy look. This wont work anyway, i forgot to change the pilots head gear.

You inspired me to redo 'Thought I was done', reducing panel lines to 1 pixel width and blending the fasteners a bit. Lot of diddling but it looks better.

We were discussing Muzzie's in New Zealand service a whiles back , to think these were to replace the Corsair , all 424 excluding the war loss's .. we only received 30 51's due to the wars end , now how many Corsairs numbered with the RNZAF at wars end , how many were on the books , excluding the lossed due to attrition and war loss ?

Thanks Dave, Id rather inspire you than irritate you. I was cleaning a real P-51 yesterday, and from a distance the smaller panel lines do fade a little , but the heavy lines around the tail are very prominent .
Thanks for looking.Naki wrote:QUOTE (Naki @ Mar 21 2012,9:03 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Lovely

Its a shame none of ours are left here in NZ. The museum one(stang) is of course an imposter.....

There's the John Smith one in Mapua locked away in a shed. Maybe some sort of swap can be done with this one day (plus the Kittyhawk (Gloria Lyons) & Mosquito but thats another story).
There are three others flying - one with Kermit Weeks in the States, one with Maurice Hammond in the UK and another (coincidentally its NZ2406!) with Bob Baker in the US

You did know the Hudson has gone?....its up with the same guys who are restoring the Anson. Not sure whether it will be made airworthy though. Wonder how they managed to pry that off him?
