Newest addition to the hangar is the Flight 1/Virtavia Islander.......bought it in Dean's (PC Aviator) sale... The price had been putting it me off previously...but it is a nice model with great sounds, nice little touches like vibrating panel, working KLN-90 GPS (although haven't worked this out yet myself), realistic FDE (feels like a big 172) and nice visuals in and out

Decided to do some real world NZ Islander flight scehdules....first up North Shore to Great Barrier

Hmm twilight zone...lots of "REAs"...looks like I have an AI double up

Islander fest

Getting it cheap is a bonus , don't want to see you getting in the 'REA 's' with Islander payments tongue.gif

Great shots naki!

The more you fly her, the more and more you will love her. She is a great plane and model for FSX.

Good luck with the GPS though....... Its a real pig!!

What a great colour scheme!

If you drop RichardLouis over at OZx a PM he may be able to do it for you?

Or would you like me to drop him a line for you?

Cheers.

Tim.

WNZ looks like REA...must had a pass life in the GBA fleet (incidentially GBA have been bought out by NZ Aerial Mapping and at least one Cessna Caravan is apparaently on the way to replace some of the Islanders/TriIslanders)

Im after a ZK-EVO repaint

Here's the next flight...Queenstown to Milford

Islanders everywhere!

The reg on that Wings Over Whales is not WNZ is actually ZK-SFX and it went from Wings Over Whales to Commercial Helicopters Ltd Great Barrier Xpress (Fly My Sky)

Ian - it is (was?) on sale at PC Aviator - half price. yeah that T-28 is a definite for me...and maybe the f-86 (and the A-4)

Doug according to this blog WNZ is the rego. It was DKN is no more (not SFK...which incidentially I have as a repaint) as it crashed here at Tauranga 3 years ago

Yes you are right the Wings Over Whales did have WNZ there and they also had SFK
