A Starfighterski winkyy.gif

Got paid today (Once a month) so i went and got the CS 104. I had it before , but no record ..... so for $15 . I had forgotten how good this thing sounds, it has that odd "howl" that only the J-79 had.

Lots more to pick from now Ian ..... but the Belgian paint is nice. Its a shame no one did a "good" 104 for FSX.

Great screen! Does this one work at all in FSX, I wonder?

Is it historical correct, that tha USSR has some F-104 used? We know, both sides have enemy aircraft evaluetat, but for the soviet side I have not found any informations about. From
the USA we know it meanwhile.

Ah that CS thing... like many others I know about, I bought the Starfighter, plus Yak3, and neither could authenticate itself.
After, I think years, of frustration with the non-existent CS support, and bleating about it on forums, someone sent me pirate copies.
I don't deal in stolen property, but in that rare instance I had no compunction about saying "Thank you very much!"

By then the Yak was so outdated, I took a look and then dumped it.
And, never bothered even opening the F104.

So, thanks for the screen Marty.

As a PS: what I did find, was a (legal) freeware variant of the Cloud9 F104, which like their F4, is in a league of its own.

Same could be said about the Cloud9 Phantom , made its debut more or less when FSX was released , again all sorts of problems and no support on recent installs .

Depends on what you mean by "work" ....it shows up , and fly's .........

But these are subjective , whats good for you , may not be good for me. In this case i would say (knowing you) ...no, it wont work .

Was this in FSX? What I mean by "work" is ... no missing or black textures etc. You cheated with the F-104 because you removed the prop laugh.gif ... usually another FS9-FSX problem!

Like you, I probably wouldn't be that bothered about the cockpit - 2D or VC ... so long as the exterior model looks good.

Yes , FSX. It lacks a little detail, and the canopy texture has issues with cloud behind. The one Charl put me onto would suit just as well.

Fantastic screens - as for captured Western types in USSR service - I have seen pictures of F-5Es in USSR service (captured from Vietnam) but no Starfighters
