With Earthsims special a few weeks ago I ended up getting RAF Shawbury home of the Tri Service Defence Helicopter Flying School. Not being a rotorhead I've been spending a few hours each night getting familiar with rotary wing flying and can hover at about 5 Ft for about 15 seconds in one place now using REX real weather and one out of two flights don't end up crashing!!

A few shots

Sleap, today civilian, but for a long time auxillery Air Field for Shawbury... The Bell 47G is antique and has nothing to do with the training today, but I like it to overfly such addons.

very nice pics hasegawa,

I take you you have your traffic up high to have so many helos on flightline?

First, I have used UK2000 VFR and maybe the helos are from this. Then I have removed the airports from UK 2000, so that the scenery and the airports of Earthsimulation Shawbury Fields are now inuse. But... think the static helos in RAF Shawbury, RAF Ternhill and the aircraft in Welshpool and Sleap are from UK 2000. The same thing in RAF Cosford. But RAF Cosford from UK 2000 is looking better . Why? You know, there is a museum with static aircraft. (Avro Vulcan, Tornado, Concorde and other.) You can see in the scenery from earthsimulation only the shadows of the aircraft from the areal Foto, but not the aircraft itself. RAF Cosford from UK 2000 (Gary Summons) is here better, because, there are static aircraft. I want to reinstall it at the next time. The flying Helos I have "flown", The Sea Kings are from virtavia, the Squirrel is Nemeth Design A.S. 350, the WAH 64D is from Area51. Today I want to fly to Ternhill and other places of interest in this scenery from Earthsimulations and maybe I have after this another some interesting shots.

Ian, i don´t know, if the virtavia Sea King is modified after the Alphasim. I have him only since around to weeks. Maybe.
