The Hudson does sit pretty high on its gear, and they did have carb intake scoops on the nacelles, the Air Force Museums example has scoops, and there are other images around of Hudsons with Carb intake scoops on the top of the nacelles/cowlings, one of the images the link is below is an official RNZAF image too

Kiwi ... you beat me to the post , i know the museum Hudson very well , having crawled over every inch of it.... and there are scoops.... Ive put my duster in them

Not the type mentioned .. these are scoops on the side of the Nacelle ! and on every model ! .. some people really need to learn there brain when it comes to a plane..
