Put in perspective the size of your AB-26 , not very big at all , a good compare would be parking a B-17 beside a DC-3 , would show just how small the Flying Fortress really was .

The Fortress is tiny compared to a lot of others, i had the privalige of getting inside a B-17 at Chino years ago and even as a 15yr old i had to duck to get around a lot of the bomber.. Chino have a B-50 that they are working towards restoring and it is massive compared to the 17

Love the opportunity to crawl thru the Fort , no photos i guess unsure.gif , amazing to compare the 17 - 29/50 - 47 - 52 and the odd one out the 36 due not being a Boeing but even to place the 70 to compare cool.gif

There are pics, but being taken in the early 90's there was no such thing as a digital camera and all the pics/negs are stored away plus i have no scanner.. hmmmm your right, would be interesting to see an 'evolution' of the American Heavy bomber.. from the Martin B-9/10 through to the B-2 all the greats would be in there

I'd give the Martin a miss .. even the B2 .. the middle jobbies have a more common interest and knowing
