The P-47 New Zealand connection , now i wonder how many had the chance to step on the wing as I did ?

At least JK's is in better shape than the real thing!

Indeedo but probably not now , i think the swap deal was for a Sopwith Pup that now resides in the Wigram Museum and parts if not all the P-40 undergoing its final stages of restoration at Wigram as well , the Thunderbolt went to Australia for restoring due to its connection with the RAAF in WWII , infact it would be good to hear from any of our Aussie friends who might be able to share what the current scale of work completed on it so far , maybe some photos

I recently read an article about this aircraft, thought it was in Classic Wings, will have a hunt and see if I can find it.

I am sure that it is well on the way to flight along with two other p47's

Two others , guess they would be the teardrop , Razors are .. possibly that is the only .. least straightest , It dose take time to re engineer to flying condition so be many a few years yet .. least its in the works .

I still love this accusim aircraft despite its age. Still the only radial fighter they have produced.

Basicly the same engine as the F4U so maybe a ACCusimmed that could be done .. AF Corsair is the start
