Seeing the screen shots from Alister reminded me that I hadn't posted mine so Marty could see what he provided me with after the December competition. So here are some shots to show the Lancaster in action.

I did start making these as soon as I received the aircraft but a funny problem developed which distracted me for a while. I was approaching RJAW on Iwa Jima as shown in the first shot (terrible visibility probably under 5 miles) when the aircraft turned sharply to the right as if I had switched on an auto pilot with a course at 90 degrees to the runway. This happened three times before I gave up and closed down. Things were ok next time I flew but the mood had been destroyed.....

Approaching Iwa Jima

She's a lovely lady to fly, if you're into this era of aircraft then this is definitely one to consider.

Thanks Marty for your generosity and also a thanks once more to your flat mates discernment!!

Yeah, obviously got out of bed too early or something. It's funny because at one stage I was wondering about the instrument layout and thinking that it looked a bit odd but then didn't consider the next step that maybe it was the wrong aircraft!

Ok, added the correct photos now, you will have to go to the first post to see them though. Ian liked the Wellington ones so have added them back here in case some others like them too. Thanks to those who noticed my lapse and who were all kind hearted in their responses both here and on Teamspeak. A little embarrassing but it seems that most of you know that I'm a bit like that and probably well on the way to getting worse . . . . but I live in hope . . . . . Doug tells me that liberal doses of whiskey should help!

Thanks Dean, apart from the first one they are all Orbx NZNI, taken around Wellington. The Wellington bomber ones taken on the way to Paraparaumu and the Lancaster ones taken over to the east and north of Wellington harbour.
