During that time the CLS VLJ became one of my favorite aircraft to fly. Small and zippy enough to be fun, but practical and detailed enough to seriously test my skills in. The CLS VLJ is modeled on the real world Eclipse 500 VLJ (which is about the size and weight of a Beechcraft Baron 58) and although the exterior and cockpit are very close, they are not a match and this adds to the fun. This light business/personal jet seats six (counting a pilot and copilot) and has plenty of power to it in terms of takeoff and climbout. She cruises at about 305 knots ground speed at any given altitude, and can climb in excess of 2,500 fpm from sea level to about 24,000 ft and above 24,000 ft has a best climb rate of around 1,200 fpm. The CLS VLJ requires very little runway for take-off and landing - in fact it can handle (at least in the sim) shorter runways than the Baron due to it's high acceleration rate at low altitude.
The only downside is that there really aren't any repaints for it available on the net.
