Following on from our fs2004 discussions, here are some pics of the beauty of FS2004 from my recent screenshots folder.. Enjoy!

Climbing out of stormy Portland for San Francisco

Who needs an NGX? I got an ifly!

Climbing out of San Francisco, headed to Vancouver.

Coming back from Vancouver, headed to LA

LA to Auckland coming to a conclusion on the ANZ 772

After Auckland to Norfolk Island, this is enroute from there to Sydney

Due my FSX flying, the rest of the shots don't really have any order to them..
A borrowed ANZ A320 flying in Southern Europe

Climbing through the clouds above London

BMI Baby 733 arriving in from Gibraltar

Night climb out, love those lights

Ben Gurion, (Tel Aviv Israel)

Returning to Tel Aviv, dodging storms over the Mediterranean

Same..

ELY001 - Tel Aviv to New York on approach

Viewed from the other direction..

Back in the US, this is on the way to Orlando, Florida.

Hazy out there climbing away again from Orlando

Somewhere over the USA, enroute Houston to Luxembourg

And on that approach, early morning

And from there to Africa, arriving into an African summer storm

And one last pic from FSX, just because I quite like it smile.gif
Arriving into Miami from Los Angeles. I'm proudly a simmer who enjoys BOTH sims pretty much equally smile.gif

Lovely shots Al.
Which A320 is that? PSS? Wilco?

Thanks Dean. I wouldn't know where to start with a payware airbus laugh.gif I've watched some youtube videos, but not taken the payware Airbus plunge yet. That is just the freeware Project Airbus (flown with FSnav). There are some really sharp repaints out there for it.
I fly mostly Boeing as that's the sort of cockpit I know how to fly. Really need to get a decent Airbus some day, but really, need one with a 2D panel (not sure there is one), need a computer that will run one, and need a 48 hour weekend to myself to figure it out. Might do it some day, take a few days off work, and lock myself in my room with a new Airbus. Yes that sounds like a plan!

Thanks Ian. Yes, I fly mostly Boeing, but Airbus are a very close second for me. I am a big A320 fan.
My stats for my last 637 flights are:

Boeing 737-800: 108 flights
Boeing 757-200: 79 flights
Boeing 767-300: 73 flights
Airbus A320: 70 flights
The rest of the planes are 50 flights or less.

Ifly B738, QWsim B752, LevelD B763, and Project Airbus A320. Pretty obvious I love my Boeings! biggrin.gif

Hey Al. There are two really good options. The one from PSS (now Blackbox) which they are selling again for FS9, and the one from Wilco. I own both for FS9 and most of us at vANZ seemed to favour the Wilco model. The systems are pretty good and there are HOWTOs out there for merging the panel (yes 2D is included) with the ProjectAirbus exterior which does look nicer and as you say has lots of repaints available

see (and watch out for sales in future I guess for a little discount): http://www.wilcopub.com/simulator-add-on/m...ution-vol1.html

Thanks Dean, bookmarked. Will get into a proper Airbus one day if it's the last thing I do laugh.gif I didn't realise Blackbox did a FS2004 version, I've only seen screenshots from X maybe..

What a feast, and enjoy it I did: beautiful stuff.

This illustrates another facet of FS9: Way out of my league, the Real Sim Pilots.
Perhaps one day I'll grow up, and learn to fly one of the seriously realistic Heavy Metal birds to faraway places.
For now, I still haven't finished with all those... other things that so delight me in the sim.

I have and use also both. For Long IFR-Flights I prefer the FS 9.

I'm sure you'll get there Charl. Like Hasegawa I prefer for the most part to fly long IFR on FS9, but I still do a lot of smaller planes too. It's just my genuine VFR GA flying is limited, and I actually fly that on FSX. Today though I've been flying the BN2 Islander around St Maarten and St Barts on FS9. Still enjoyable like the big jets. One of the reasons I've avoided the latest generation of FSX payware jets is due to how much my sim struggles with the FSX ifly. So I just prefer to fly those sorts of things on FS9 (generally speaking - the QW 757 and Level D 767 are very FPS friendly on FSX!)
Cheers, glad you like the pics.
