(Inspired by emfrat's historical placeholder in this month's comp!)

John Murchison's 'Pearse Flyer' -- I don't think he ever released this, although those few who have the 10-year-old 'Godzone' magazine CD, issue 3, will have a beta version. This flies well (crashes a lot, but that's what hedges are for) and when you shut the engine down, the display shown here appears.

Engine??
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Thanks to Bazza for the info on this book:

Richard Pearse and his Flying Machines.

Looks like all you'd need to know to build your own Flyer... hint, hint.
