Between the Pratt and Whitney JT3D and the Rolls Royce Conroy is in fact a difference... and is the dokumentation of the aircraft enough or more for fun-oriented flying?

I have only heard Conway's on visiting VC-10 in the mid 1980s which had that airy sound to it but not as pronounced as a DC-8 , it maybe the height above the ground affect that could change the sound but also maybe even the rear engine layout of the VC10.
