Hi,

Decided to upgrade the graphics card in the desktop today, was previously using a MSI Radeon HD6450 2GB which ran FSX okish at times but as soon as you started to add the cloud layers in it started to struggle... I'm now running a Asus GT640 2GB which I wasn't sure about at first until i tested it out in War Thunder/Fifa/FSX/GRID2 etc, and in war thunder on full it was averaging around 45fps, and in FSX in the full clouds (the way I set them up) was averaging around 18FPS (at 1920 resolution!)

Enough of me blabbering on here's the resized shots (click for high res):

Thanks for Looking

John

FSX, VLC Opotiki (freeware), Vertigo Studios Steaman, REX

John , just setting up to run FSX only so to work on Daveroo's B-24 Lib paint .. forgot a had this loaded on a 2 Core/3.4 G PC - got one of these whooping GTX 9400 cards i believe ... this was the primary FS computer off .... well what year did that come out , it really runs well tho nothing installed , only using to paint and keep plugging away smile.gif Whooping 17.5 - 23/25 fps

Make for one hell off a bench make machine to compare , as such what people are adjusting to today , fingers crossed i have FTX GlobalX on a external .... that would be an interesting test and may help others with there lower end system ... very surprised , no fancy cloud tho .. but as i said .. and good place to start for an honest compare .
