Wow, this new sim certainly does have a future. Since my 'new' machine was closer to the minimum specs than I would have liked, I was worried that I'd go back to the old days of FSX -- not quite enough grunt to do it justice -- but I needn't have worried, it is smooth as butter. I am working through the settings, but it might take a while to decide on an optimal setup for me.
I was lucky to bypass all the reported glitches, except for the Windows 8 joystick disconnect which has cropped up a couple of times.
I did a manual port of Vector Land Class just to have some nice scenery for my first flight. The Coast, of course, since this is me I'm talking about....
Considering these are default clouds etc, the weather/atmospherics is a huge improvement over FSX. Can't wait to integrate REX.
