Cliffs of Dover (non NZ)

Some NZFF viewers might not be aware that Cliffs of Dover is now officially AWESOME since Team Fusion, a bunch of enthusiasts, have made it what it always had the potential to be (you need to apply three of their patches, which is pretty straightforward). Apart from being deep in terms of engine management and flight models, it's gorgeous to look at. If I was sexist and it was a woman I'd give it 9.5 out of 10. It's also stable, with good frame rates.

It has stuff that we who are used to FSX and now perhaps P3D2 only dream about, - cloud shadows on land and water, - sea that moves like real sea. The number of flyable plane types is high, and there are a lot of non-flyable ones that you never see in other sims, such as the Italian BR.20M bomber, G.50 fighter and CR.42 biplane, also Blenheims (flyable), Wellingtons, Sunderlands, Defiants, DO 17s (possible flyable, haven't tried yet) as well as all the obvious ones. You also get to shoot stuff and blow stuff up. The pics below are unedited.























All for the price of one FSX payware plane, - unbelievable value in my opinion and many hours of fun.

Funny seeing the Italians in there so much .. fact was they were hardly in it at all ... but its good to have extra cannon fodder

They're over-represented in these screenshots because they're so unique. It's just such a novelty, - like getting rare cigarette cards or something. It's hard to believe that aviation enthusiasts, - and really I don't think there are that many of us in the population, get treated so well by the video game industry. I'm interested in armoured fighting vehicles too and I wish there was something as good for that community, but I'm not complaining.

I was having a good read about the Defiant few days back , the myth and debut legend was made more a fancy of propaganda but the idea is something i enjoyed .. a turreted fighter
