I decided that I should show a few screen shots of the prize I recieved from Real Air as a result of my very narrow win last month.

The Turbine Duke is one that I have thought about for some time so it was a straight forward choice on my part. The flying has been great, though it has taken me a while to get used to the delay in the spool up and down of the engines compared with the Quest Kodiak. Nevertheless, it's been great fun so far and I'm sure that I will continue to enjoy it into the future.

Thanks to all who voted for the image, you made me most pleased!

The DUKE , I keep thinking off John Wayne , biggrin.gif , may have been the turbo charge up Mount Suribachi, .. simply it was the Beechcraft that got him there cool.gif

:-) thanks Marty. The last one is near the head of the Rakaia river up past Double Hill Station (which is up past Lake Coleridge). It's the braided river bed - had to maneuver a bit to get just the shingle as a background with no water or river banks.

You mean good old Marion - he was in Jet Pilot so probably wouldn't be so keen on the turbo-prop GA aircraft! Maybe you're a bit like him in that respect?

'MARION' I do believe (wonder if he was taking the mickey so to speak) Sylvester Stallone used that name for his part in the action combat cop flick "COBRA" ... " Jet Pilot" Yeah cool.gif , Real death and destruction type movie with no Bull tongue.gif
