Moscow Sheremetjevo has replaced the old Vnukovo Airport as the first airport of Moscow in the 60ties. Meanwhile he is not the only Airport for flights from outside of Russia. The second is Domodedovo (UUDD) .
Today we fly the typical route from Moscow to Sochi, a flight, which has flown the Tupolev Tu 144D supersonic passenger jet in the 70ies. We left the ground, flying a bit east and over Domodedovo and from there we are going south, via Voronesh, Rostov on Don, Gelentschik, Maykop and from south to Sochi.

A bit outside of the terminal area are some parking slots for aicraft in domestic service.

We are going to RWY 25L.

We passing Terminal F... an older building from the 60ties. Meanwhile it was renovated.

The Freight-Terminal is used by a lot of domestic airlines and some foreigners.

We are Nr. 2 after another Aeroflot A320, bound for Warsaw.

We are underway...

Course east.

We crossing Moscow Domodedovo.

Meanwhile we are underway to the south. and here we overflying the city of Woronesh.

I am not an "Airbus-man", have difficulties with the A320 and like the Boeing 737 and 757 more.

Other aircraft are around us. This aircraft high above us an Transaero Boeing T7 from Dubai.

We are crossing the River Don. Here is the home of the famous Don Cossacks. Not far away is the city of Rostov-on- Don.

We reach the coast of the Black sea. Somewhere around is the city of Maykop. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maykop

We are at the last leg, loosing heigth...

The aircraft reached landing configuration just bevor overflying the coast again.

On Glidesloop...

We reach the end of the runway 20.

The gate is reached and slowly we bring the aircraft in.

End of the flight. We are at the airport of Sochi Adler.

This airport is in the Hand of Basic Elements... Behind this is the russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska. He is No. 4 in the list of the most rich russians.

Nice tour... I especially like the way the light became warmer as the trip progressed further south!
And ground shadows! And lots of AI! praise be...

Are those airports available for FS9 as well?
I have an old Sochi if I recall, not as good as this one.

It looks, that this flight has some fans...

Let me tell you one trick. Every virtual pilot has his experience with the performance of the FSX, Sometimes I think about the new P3D, but... I have a lot of aircraft and scenery, where the compatibility is questionable. And I want to fly,not to build up and remove and remove and build up...
I have an meanwhile 3 year old I5 760 for my flights, and the grafic board is a ATI 7700 ... Meanwhil a I7 of the last generation is standart for the developper of addons for the FSX. So I have only one chance to fly such things. ... find the compromise.

For me this was the answer. Now I have enough ressources for ground shadow and other things. It is not "just another toy"... it worked! I can recommend it, especcially for user of ATI grafic boards. The only scenery, where this combination is not enough is New York, made by Drzewiecki design.
