Not sure about this one (model) at all ... a bit cartoonish , Rick and Charl did a great job with it ,but i cant get it looking any better than this (hence the distracting clouds )
All that aside .... an awesome beasty in the flesh im sure .

Yes .... i feel a bit sad about this one , dont think I'll do much more with it .
Its a shame i wasted those good looking clouds rex gave for the last shot .
Re the cockpit .... oh well

No .... sometimes you have to be rough .... this model is dated ... the cockpit is bad , the textures are over done (panel lines etc), effects are bad . I feel the same about this as i did about the flying stations Bucc .... not good.

That counts me out then Ye ha
QUOTEYou have to imagine yourself Hustling along at Mach Big Number, with a Large Thermonuclear Device underbelly.[/quote]
Those were duel pods, a couple versions, the smaller with fuel and weapons .. use the fuel incoming release the weapons and getting to hell out of it release the pod and scoot out or hustle away.

what this plane needs is a texture overhaul. The bones are ok. We really need the likes of John Terrell from Warbirdsim to give it his new aluminum textures. We need Milviz to provide cockpit textures! It also needs a little clean up in the FM department at the mach 1.3+ control ability arena. Elevons become almost unresponsive at this speed, and the plane can travel another entire mach number faster! So I'm not sure that its very realistic in this regime...overall, I'm glad to support the project, but it's IMO way overpriced for the age of the model. I do like the wing vapor effects in "high g" maneuvers. I do have a lot of fun landing this bird, which is the main thing...Fun!
Nice pics Marty nonetheless!

All the 190 miles an hour or so now that's a rocketthe cry would have been "hang on to ya hats fellas - were going in" , be interesting to look at the texture sheets

A good film to watch and uses the B-58, Fail Safe - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9R3w8wDrmM or the remake from 2000 with George Clooney (don't be put off by this).

So retro, back in the day when special effects had just been invented ..... I did like the footage off the B-58s scrambling - those four F104s glued and cooking
