Its an NKC-135B/E known "as big crow 2" used as a surrogate ballistic missile for the YAL1-A laser program ..... very odd.







Interesting to note that a lot of the mission modified KC's retained their refuel/receiver capability ... amazing whats been done with these airframes .

So many versions, I love a quick scwiz at that book and the alphabet stew 135s , Don's books are superb reference material.

Yep , same here ....i had to double check ... but its real, and only stopped working a few years ago .

It will be interesting to see what they do replace the lumpy bumpy's with, go to prove how dynamic the original is.
