Al , Im not sure if these paints are Nam era or not ..... could be. Didnt have time to look into them , but they look like they could be.... tail codes could confirm it i suppose.

These are so good to see, thank you. The top one definitely is Vietnam era, you can tell by the red stars on the intake.

The bottom is late 80s generation, Spangdahlem, Germany. Lo-vis markings were a give away for 80s pretty much anyway

The middle one I can't find anything for. They are all wearing quite modern Aim-9L Sidewinders, even the first one. So can't judge the age by the equipment she carries

I may have mentioned before seeing an F-4 at Whenuapai with a couple of red stars on the intake .... but the photo is long gone sadly, that was back in the early 80's.

I agree , a good sized , maybe 48th scale Nam era F-4 would be great , but i would need an expert to do the airbrushing for me .

Alister nailed it .. LOOK at that guy's collection of model Phantoms! .... hey Marty I did have a great air gun , a Tamiya set and almost every colour, this is were I have to restock.

I have something on the middle one.

It is a F-4E-32-MC, USAF BuNo 66-0328.

It served with

• USAF 421st TFS (366th TFW)
• 1977: USAF 31st TFW
• USAF 35th TFW
• 1977-79: USAF 57th FIS
• 1981: USAF 4th TFW
• USAF 434th TFS (35th TFW)
• USAF 20th TFS (35th TFW)

It was transferred to the Turkish AF in April '92 as 1-328.

Good little info site , con.no. and were they went, many B/C/D versions were modified to the J/N/S and RF-4B were a prototype giving the idea of putting a gun in the nose replacing cameras thus you got your definitive E model .. course insides change a little to suit ... One hell of a aircraft tho ... to think one aviation writer wrote calling the phantom UGLY .. now were is that M-61 again .
