WIP -- I'm still very much an infant at texture editing but ive been playing around the last few hours.... Adding some weathering to the engines panel lines, and some highspeed oil smears to the ailerons. I've decided to test out what bug spatter might look like on the gear tube covers...still very much WIP.

I would be up for that...I'm not very good, but I'd give it a go. Maybe I could try to make it look a little more worn...and not reinvent the wheel so to speak. It could be a good learning experience for an upcoming project I'm involved in...by upcoming I mean, a labor of love. And by project, I mean, project...long project learning while doing... laugh.gif

Wicked, looking forward to it, you mentioned the century series, I'll see what photos I can dig up of the B-58 cockpit or least similar panel modules fitted on the aircraft.

thanks for looking guys! here's some progess update on the VC. I'm not really that good. I'm also not starting from scratch. Mainly just trying to update the current textures to look a little more used. I haven't hit every panel yet, so there's still more to be done...WIP

Great start cool.gif , having a play is the fist thing think it great your hooking into and giving this a go.

Worst thing is its an old Alphasim model so I wonder - do they have independent panels , - for example the scuff marks from the flight suit polishes the panels and around the pedestal between the rudder pedals, .... the throttle quad is one area that would realty so show wear and panel chips, area around the break suit panel may also be a little scuffed course as with fuel panel.

I wonder If it is still limited in what can be done to make it feel a real son of a B1tch type.

A question, how more templates, well texture folders are there for the VC, I wonder if it is any different from the AS model with the texture plan. 10 on the previous model, that is the FS9 model and really could have done with your efforts back then smile.gif

I work in the Everett Delivery Center for Boeing Commercial Airplanes on the 787 program. I'm in industrial Engineering. In fact, today I walked over to the Air NZ 787-9...beautiful!...As I was using a version of CATIA v5 suite to navigate and find a part in a very complex 3D model; I was contemplating how amazing it would be to have the accuracy of such a model in FS! LOL.

There is the QW on its way and another , SeanG , works only down the road here has given me a lot off insight in cockpit operations on the 787, I'll give him a bump for next time he heads your way and get a community photo and add you to the NZFF family area.
