Well since Dash isn't giving us our daily dose of scheduled NZ flying, I guess I can step up a little
Yes, I do fly, not just frequent this forum
Took a nice flight yesterday, and thought I would share some of the views. Just a non-scheduled hop for Air New Zealand from Christchurch to Nelson
Heading off out of Christchurch

Storms have built up over the Alps, but the weather is fine in Nelson, so it will improve enroute

Now, here's a little something special for you out of towners.. This lake below is of course Lake Rotoiti, and is a very nice spot for a visit. It's a short hop in a float plane from Nelson.

And, here is a link for you to a webcam from the lake front so you can see what it looks like for real.. Here is the link. I highly recommend clicking "LIVE TIMELAPSE" at the bottom, move your mouse left and right to cycle through the day. The webcam is right where the red dot is on the next picture:

As expected, the weather improved once I left the mountains and arrived in the sheltered skies of the Nelson region. Mt Arthur in the far distance.

Looking out into Tasman Bay, about to fly over Richmond, where I grew up watching planes on this approach.

Seconds from touchdown

Beginning taxi back to the terminal

And parked back at home again.

And one last look back at my plane from the Nelson Airport viewing deck.
