Hi All
I went for a wee fly over marlbrough in FSX in the Cessna Bird dog. Here are my screenshots :) They're not very good, I wasn't trying to be impressive, but more draw attention to the fact that I need something done with my scenery  I spend most of my time actually playing with the settings. Currently installed is the RBE 75m mesh and the RBE landclass.

12 pictures totalling 1.66mb

Note the brown textures - a far cry from Jon's marlbrough

Firstly low 1x and then low-2x, and thirdly high 2x.

Do notice the sorta pixilatedness of the water at higher detail levels.

Looks good from higher up though

Thats really interesting, I don't have any topo files installed to change the nasty brown  to luscious green :) , which seems weird. I wonder what the others on that part of the tour saw, I assumed it was the same for everyone.

Scenery doesn't look to bad, I havnt got around to installing any scenery in fsx but it doesn't really bother me up at 350.

You seem to be having the same water problem as me Brock, I had mine up max and it all looked great but after a reinstall of windows and reinstall of fsx (and reinstalled same display drivers) I have found the water has become all pixelated, looks really awful!

I always leave my water on max in fsx as I find theres no major perforamce impac t, id rather nice water than autogen. Im not sure if theres a setting somewere that fixes this water. but as far as I know my settings are all the same as they were when it wasn't pixelated.

Perhaps it was the season you had your sim set too- try changing between Summer/Winter to see if it makes a differance?

Super idea trolly, I'll definitely try that :)

Oh and James, I found a loss of about 4fps when I changed from low 1x to full.
