For those viewing, we had eight aircraft participate in the two legs from NZHN to NZAP, then NZAP to NZNR!
The airspace was quite busy, and it did take a good amount of coordination upon arrival to avoid collisions!

Here are two shots from our regroup at Taupo:

Was awesome to be apart of this. Would be keen for another one some time. Maybe around the south island next time?

Kamo, a pleasure to have you on board cool.gif as for the South Island - that is easy done smile.gif , keep that IP address - your going to need it , you can see why the Team Speak was so important , It would have made the guys in the Berlin Airlift look up and take notes winkyy.gif

Sean , Great Screens ... Still have a batch to edit , ... it was a great afternoon with the lot off you cool.gif

Sure was an interesting experience, plenty of learnings for a beginner. Thanks all. Sean, did you have a radar of sorts that dropped into default gps? Where did you get this? Might make it easier to locate and join the formation next time...

Really enjoyed the entire experience yesterday, highlight for me was coming in to land at Taupo with very little separation!

Nice mix of airports, weather, and a few dramas most notably Ian with his engine issues on the ground at Taupo. laugh.gif

Here's a couple screenshots I grabbed from the flight.

Busy runway at Taupo

On the ground at Napier

Easier than push-starting... maybe try a tow next time?

I'm fairly sure it was this modification:

Take note a that there's a mod for Carenado GPS systems as well:

Not so strange the idea off taken the engines off the DC-3 and turning it into a glider even got to the testing stages ... really being towed ! ohmy.gif

I took a few screenies as well so thought I would share them too. Hope all these stir a bit of interest up for next time. Of course if you are unsure you can always pop onto TeamSpeak and have a listen in to see how things go...

Waiting at Hamilton for my turn to taxi

Heading in to Taupo

Watching the final pilot landing at Taupo - he did well too despite all of us watching his every move!

En route - can't actually remember where this was wub.gif the order of the screens suggests it's after Taupo but the scenery and the lack of cloud suggests it was before Taupo.

For those that remained for the extra leg this is us coming into the Waiouru strip

Awesome screen shots... Sometimes My plane appeared as Lufthansa (last screenshot by scaber) and sometimes world travel airlines decal biggrin.gif Would make for a bit of confusion to ATC (we didn't all have the same Just flight DC-3 i'm guessing)

You would obviously have the Just Flight DC-3 , one I don't have that one, hence the reason you get picked up via paints and livery, but it shows that the Daks works with four different models based from the original MSFS model , even JF aircraft comes from that stable.

It can go anytime , think this really got hi-lighted to show the extended time zones worked , Sean in the eastern US of A , course the brilliance using the DC-3 since all FS models are built on that model structure , We .. I have tried many paywares , dogfights to country transits, really no time or date .

Perhaps we can try FSHost so P3D people can join; there's quite a lot of P3D'ers these days.
Anyone know if the JF DC3 is P3Dv2 compatible?
