I have them all, and I still rate the Virtavia offering tops.
(I have to, just ask Ian what we paid for it!)
Thank you Charl , i still feel that the nose on the Virtavia model is a little odd , but a great model.
Charl wrote:QUOTE (Charl @ Oct 6 2014,4:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>$80...
Bugger , and if i recall , it wan't complete at the time of release ?

YIP indeed $80 and it was 18 plus months before completed without the trickle build which is better and have some input .

Cheers big G ,yes , the the flow has a real hit on frame rates. Ive heard that the FD on the Boeing model is really good

The price is a little high for the Boeing one though and its a little big to put in my PC
Ian Warren wrote:QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Oct 6 2014,3:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Wells .... the only thing missing is the to girls climbing up in the back ! .. when you do look at it that way you see the Virtavia is missing details , the nav globe-spotter fairing is one, added after 2000, the scheme, looks more correct with the Area51 , the nose is the area was in contention , between the both Area51 scores again and also the collection of aerials on the bottom of the fuse.
Ahh , the girls .... they were inline for 20mins for the C-17, and over 30 for the Herc . First time either one of them had seen the inside of a non airliner.... thats why they skipped the 319.dbcunnz wrote:QUOTE (dbcunnz @ Oct 6 2014,6:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>The price is a little high for the Boeing one though and its a little big to put in my PC

I believe it's so good that you actually dispense with the need for monitors, it's a new technology called 'real world experience' - even better than Google Glass I hear.

Is the Virtavia still worth picking up?

Look Jay, honestly , at cost - I'd hold off , I have the Virtavia model and its been a while since I have installed it , maybe wait to possibly get a fresh opinion and course screens , Marty could follow up with the Area51 , internals and exterior, - this with our best recommends .

I've got the Area51 model, the two are different, both have their pros and cons.
Have read a bunch of forum posts comparing the two and neither seems to really come out totally on top in all aspects.

One in saying that , If it is your fave aircraft you could blend the two ? ... but really with the original price tag on the Virtavia it was over price , yet again saying that need to reinstall and return .

Thanks guys
It's not my favourite but it would be the first type of that class of aircraft. I will hold off and think about it!

I'm having a lot of fun with the new Aerosoft 318/9 right now so probably don't need any distractions!
