We hear them very regular the summer season, some are RNZAF 130s but most this period are the USAF LC's heading to the ice "Operation Deep Freeze" , aircraft involvement dates back from Christchurch since 1957, earlier flights were from Wigram ... but that noise has been with me all my life and I love it !
