Welcome to the NZFF December 2014 Screenshot Competition.

This month's rules are as follows (Please read them)
.

If you have any queries about the rules please PM me for clarification before posting your entry.

1) The screenshot image must consist of a screen captured from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX or P3D) and the position of the shot must be from somewhere within the New Zealand territory.

2) Some editing is allowed (if you know how to do it.) Additional images - either screenshots or "real" images can be added - but the main component of the image should always be of a Flight sim screen capture.

3) The images must be jpg and size must be at least 1024 pixels wide and no wider than 1280 pixels -- A good free resizing program can be found at http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDownload.htm
Faststone resize how to http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17934&hl=
3a) No frames or txt to be left on the image. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

4) Images can be submitted from December 1st until midnight 31st December 2014, with only one entry of a single image per member.
You can change your image anytime up until 1 hour before the closing time.
To change use the edit button at the bottom of your post, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one If you post comments using the quote or reply button please edit out all images from your reply or quote.

5) When the competition ends, a poll will open for members to vote for the best image, and then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the prize for the month.

6) This month's theme: "Bush Plane" (Please state Aircraft details and over what part of New Zealand the image was taken)

I ask all members to please patronize all our very generous prize sponsors.
Very generously donated by Dean

The voting will take place after the competition closes at the end of the month and the winner with the highest vote will get a prize and their image on the NZFF banner for the month.
Second and Third place getters will also both receive a prize.

For the Months competition we have a total of 3 prizes on offer, so this month, there will be not one, but THREE winners!
Prize 1: $50 gift certificate, which can be used on any item at the PC Aviator Australia Store
Prize 2: One download copy of any bush plane light aircraft at the PC Aviator Australia Store (Carenado, Lionheart etc)

A nice theme and a very generous amount of prizes, Lucky that the runner up and 3rd place get prizes which is great. I hope I could get my shot in some time as I failed to get my shot in last month's comp.

ps. Oh Bugger, I failed last comp! sad.gif

Just so there's at least one entry on the first page....

A navy Seasprite roped in to grab an injured tramper off the Tararua Range. That's the Maungahuka hut, courtesy of VLC, exactly where it should be. (You can see it in the aerial photo under the model of the hut.) I may change this later in the month if I can afford to renew my Prepar3D license.

Cheers. The developer's license is monthly, I normally buy six months at a time, but it's come at an awkward time this month. I just need one subscription sale to let me extend it for a month, but I guess everyone is spending their money on other things.

Other licenses are one-off.

Boy , a developers license rolleyes.gif , hope they pay you for each scenery produced , that is like dipping fingers into your pocket - what do they have extra to offer .... makes me think P3D maybe is not a choice.

I've never really thought of it as expensive, well at least not until the renewal coincides with a week of no income...

You get two copies of P3D, although I only have one machine that'll handle it at the moment, and the SDK. It's only US$10 a month, so yes, it's more expensive that the normal license (US$199), but it's good to be able to spread it out a bit, rather than a one-off payment, if necessary I could just pay monthly. In fact I might be doing that for a few months.

Of course anyone else can just get an academic license, US$59.95 all-up.

Pilot is too small in the cockpit too. I'm not sure about the final release but the one I saw had the mag switch as the fuel tank selector or some rubbish like that. Rotor and Engine RPM wouldn't match either.
