Marty, this will get you going for your carrier landings ... I promise myself this one , realistically Aerosoft has never let me down yet , think the price will be a little higher if you want all the operations due this thing called TAC-PAC .

This cretinous CIA-Aircraft "MiG 28" is another american Myth. And the the Film "Top Gun" was in my eyes technical interessting but in the essence primitve and cheap propaganda no matter then Rambo.

The F-14A was underpowered. What was unmatched from any other aircraft of it´s time was the weapon, the AIM 54 "Phönix and its RADAR AN/AWG-9." Yes there where the F-14A+, F-14B, C and F-14D... but the extra power was lost with extra equipment.

On point of it´s career is the story of the "Ali-Cat", the F-14´s of the iranian Air Force. Delivered at the time of the persian Shah, they where the most modern aircraft of the iranian Air Force of the Mullakraty of the Iran at the Irak-Iran-war. Iran has used this aircraft and it´s radar as "AWACS" against the Iraqi Air Force and some Kills against MiG 21, 23 and other aircraft are to the credit of the Combination of F-14 "Ali cat" with its Radar and the Phönix.
152 Kills over iraqi aircraft are from the iranian Air Force verified. The most prominent Pilot of an iranian F-14A was Jalil Zandi. witth 11 verified Kills (maybe 14) 4 Mig-23, 2 Su-22, 2i Mig-21,3i Dassault Mirage F1.[
His last Rank was Brigadier general. He died with his wife Zahra Moheb Shahedin in 2001 in a car accident near Tehran. So... ironically a foe of the USA was the Ace of the Aces in a F-14.

Is the "Ali-Cat" also in this packaghe from Aerosoft?

The original scheme at the time of delivery was a desert camouflage. Since 2004 the last surviving 40 (from 79, flyable?) aircraft have grey-tone-schemes.

It all in the fun off the aircraft, course we all know MIG28 biggrin.gif are T-38s and F-5s ... I'm just waiting for "TOPGUN II" to come out hoping 'John Rambo' would be the emery fighter pilot ... add some humour when you see his lips go through 'G-force' manuvoures just for the realism winkyy.gif

"Cheap, no... primitive...Yes! But the movie created the biggest US Navy recruitment spike in history!
Even the producers were taken aback!
They immediately went looking for editing discards to cobble together the sequel, and there were none.
In a movie first, they had used every single bit of aerial footage that was shot.

Can that act be followed?
Problem is, nowadays fighter jets look more like a computer game, and that's what the kids would rather be doing in the first place!
Erps, and perhaps some more senior citizens, too laugh.gif

Cheers matey , this package is so cheap with so many frills ... good thing with Carrier Operations, without the heavy scenery FSX runs like today's FS9 and with the excitement of the juggling on to the deck, typical of Aerosoft - simply they don't let you down cool.gif
