I've finished my RNZAF repaints of the Aerosoft Airbus A319 & A321. Thanks to some help from Ian the squadron logo turned out great on the tail. Still haven't found the right font for the RNZAF text, but I used a USAF substitute winkyy.gif .

Here are some shots:

The A319 turning near Auckland during the first flight after rolling out of the paint hangar.

And the same for the A321.

The A319 got the first operational flight, heading from Whenuapai to Christchurch. Taxiing past an AI 757... not sure if my grey is off or if the AI repaint is too blue tongue.gif.

Sideview... Should I put something on the sharklets?

And the last quick shot.

The A321 will fly to CHCH soon as well, preparing for an Antarctica flight smile.gif. If anyone wants these paints, I will upload them and post links later.

Nice work... thinking out of the box, or perhaps not? The A321 is directly comparable to the 757.

Not sure which AI you use. The grey is a real pig to match, I have 3 photos of the 757 in slightly different light, all different.
The definitive repaint is at flightsim.com

I'll up again if the font required/used ... tho, looking at that there is very little difference, one thing pointed out to me many years back, they almost guess work it and just what happens to suit them on the day, you could just that RNZAF ARBUSTED FONT winkyy.gif

Good stuff. Excellent repaints! Fonts are a curse when doing repaints and I have spent many an hour trying to find something that matches what I need.

I also note you have gone with an NZ4000 tail number. No problem given its fictional, but in reality that series is reserved for maritime aircraft. Hopefully this link will prove useful:

Yeah, I figured the A321 might be a decent replacement smile.gif. I believe Airbus is thinking about/already planning a longer range A321(Neo) to replace Boeings 757.
As for the AI, I think I might have been mistaken. It actually looks more like a static model, possibly part of FTX NZNI? Either way, the grey really is a PITA but I'm happy with the result.

Usually I'm able to just copy & paste the font & logo from some online image, but I couldn't find any nice high res sideshots of the 757 tongue.gif. Good info by the way, I'll adjust the tail number before I upload anything smile.gif.
In the WIP stage I went with NZ3191 as reference to the NZ7571 but that didn't suit the A321 of course. So I just figured... Squadron number + random picked two digits.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I'll give the paint one more good look over, possibly tweak some stuff and then upload it.

From the font now you have, you could possibly transform them using photoshop, I have not had a chance to look at it files here, realistically 98.99 per cent off people will not even no.

We have a classic example , the RNZAF Historical flight Harvard fonts are hideous, the Ohakea paint boys really screwed that up ... sticks out like dogs balls , by compare I give yours a big THUMBSUP smile.gif
