Great idea Ian, plenty of old liveries there for inspiration huh.
Seems like the release wont be far off, do you think the paint kit will change any/much in that time?

Dean, I have the one template open, It really could confuse some .... But it only one for the entire aircraft .. its a little sad loosing the "Red Checkers" name .. really I personally think this all black scheme would and could really suit this new livery .. we still have the Red and Blue and White .... so till a republic .. I personally think ......
How bout idea.gif THE ALL NEW RED CHECKERS they seem to do that very regular these days ... 'The All New' thingy

That is a plane that looks well in black - has anyone else noticed how well the Kiwi silhouette on the tail matches the curves of the cockpit enclosure?
If I was able to paint, I would try something based around that...it's probly a good thing I am no painter rolleyes.gif
Maybe with the bill leading into a fern, on the engine cover?. Better get out of here, I am starting to sound like a marketing person ohmy.gif

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Mebbe I'm thinking of that horrible scheme proposed for the Red Arrows anniversary - it was based on a ginormous roundel. Can I plead temporary insanity?

Hmm...a silver fern "in a deep forest green" with a big kiwi-coloured kiwi? - might be a useful camo paint winkyy.gif

How about a base color like the 'teal' on the tail of the 'Ocean wave' AirNZ livery?

They are to keep the Black scheme but add a twist to it ... course now we need a name for the new team without sounding to corny.

I do remember at Warbirds over Wanaka in 1998/2000 the RNZAF had an Aermacchi team called the Black Falcons... why not revive that one, though the Red Checkers

biggrin.gif They got shot down real quick - sorta been used to often before ... everyone knows a Blackbird .. another way off putting it being as common harmless as hell .. but when you get a couple together they can be fun to watch - especially some off the antics they do chasing each other.
