Sixth and ninth shot... Is that a condensation effect in the engines or is that lighting?

One thing I study is the effects , people miss a lot and they really do not use their eyeballs.

Its condensation, a fairly new add on called 777 Immersion.
If you look at shot five, you can just make out the vortex going into the engine coming up from a damp taxiway.
Immersion even shows brake dust coming off the landing gear, it adds a real nice touch to the PMDG 777.
Its worth a look see.......

On a side note, I remember seeing the 777-200 demonstrator when it came to AKL when I was working in engineering.
I was down by where the taxiway from the hangars to the main taxiway is, the 777 was holding for about 5 mins and I was blown away by the vortex going into the engines, was quite amazing.

I didn't see that at first. It's amazing what is being done now with the sim. Pity it isn't a global thing. I did see the tip vorticies on the contrails which is pretty cool. When I was working at Wellington, I saw a whole heap of that sort of stuff on various aeroplanes. Unfortunately, I was always in a position where I couldn't get a photo of it.

I like their effects, just makes it a bit more realistic.
From what I have read, the next model they are doing is the PMDG 73 series.

That's kind of the next step for the sim. What would be really cool is having the vortex effect when helicopters fly through cloud or smoke

Or C-130 or Corsairs off a carrier deck .... that would be COOL!

I think its the same with ocean effects .. creating a working moving Ocean within a radius of a Carrier for example.

Haha yeah, you never see the Atlantic looking like the ocean in FS

I am very surprised this area has not been addressed, develop a radius and weather to suit , the thing is, It would have to be for affect only and seriously not rocking the boat so to speak.

But how cool would it be if it could rock the boat...

Done some testing with ocean affect .. 'Rock the Boat' really is currently a pain in the behind , one off those thing still in its infancy.
