Sweet Dave B-) in this area it really dose get very hazy, I'm sure with the thermal pools and hot spring really react with the cool air, many times I've been though on the bike from Hamilton heading home , one specific time I sat in behind an 18 wheeler and used him for road navigation, the fog was so thick, just to damn dangerous to overtake , its an amazing area to ride through tho ... guess flying would be a lot more fun.

Got to thinking about the supposed lack of trees in this scenery and started wondering if I was using the correct one but it's inserted in scenery library above everything else so should be good.

Orbx users will notice the difference, Orbx tend to cover a lot of the country in forest, which isn't anywhere near the reality. However this is forestry country around Rotorua, with almost 100% coverage in some areas -- far too much for the sim to cope with, so it will thin itself out a bit.

One big job putting this scenery together was to differentiate between harvested and non-harvested forest -- the aerial image has huge areas which are just completely nuked, hardly a pretty sight, but this is part of the 'real' New Zealand which I'm trying to reproduce.

Note, too, that photoscenery needs trees individually placed in a lot of places, which is an ongoing and endless task.
