Interesting bird this one .... crashed back in the 60's , never found the crew.

It's a pretty standard thing - send in a clever plane to 'accidentally' intrude, and take note of the response time, all the comms and where they came from, and so on.

Nothing wrong with a little 'I spy with my little eye' bitta sparring sorta thing , keeps everyone into check , Captain Rameous may have to give his Submarine back tho

Mike and Ian ... i agree , i just found it a bit amusing thats all.

Be interesting to see or hear if it go's any further but I'm guessing blowing out off proportion ... again, If it was North Korea , now that would be more news worthy and maybe a sign to start thinking the possible.

About the interceptions...Well, These days, They didn't intrude over the sovereign air space, at least the bear here in Europe. In Japan I remember that sometimes they intrude. But USAF need a strong VVS and viceversa...ouch! well, really Lockheed, Northrop and Boeing need a strong VVS.
