Hudson Mk3 over Wellington
Felt like a bit of a flutter this afternoon and having got the Hudson working properly again (I had a problem with file permissions) I felt it was time to take it for a bit of a test flight.
Fired up the engines and rolled down the runway. This beauty lifted off in pretty short order and I had climbed to a reasonable height by the time I passed over the northern end of the runway threshold. I spent some time circling round the harbour; there was a bit of a gap in the cloud cover between 5500 and 7000 feet. Plenty of space for me to enjoy the presence of the clouds but with no real adverse effects.
I took a look at the windfarm and Sommes Island as well as the central city area before coming back for an uneventful landing, this sure is a docile lady after that flight Mustang I was flying early in the week.
A most pleasant afternoon. Thanks to Marty for reminding me that I had this and inspiring me to load up and go for a spin.
