Random ...Viscount and ZK NAU

Not sure why ... but i like this shot ......

This isnt the JF model , its the old fs9 Rick Piper model , but given the treatment by those gurus in the U.K (Fraser McKay and Co) .... and its free!

And the CaptainSim B73 ...paint from John Murchison ........

I Know exactly why you like that shot , Christchurch International had a gap between the Domestic terminal and the International terminal , it was double fenced off in this fashion, just beside the stairs on the outside to take you to the roof top viewing deck , that went around 1973/74 during the early build off the new International terminal.

Since I always visit the forum via the New Posts link, I don't always see what sub-forum a post is in -- in this case, I didn't realise these weren't photos until I'd scrolled down a bit. Very nice.

I remember that place .... those odd stairs with the barbed wire .

Strange the security measures then compared to today, were if you biked out to Avonhead/Greys Rd corner the fence line was only waist high and when the crash/fire station unit was built there , you could simply walk up knock on the door and they were more than happy to take you for a tour.
