SOFIA in fsx

Thanks to Mike .... and Project open sky ( an under utilised resource)

I really have to rethink a lot of stuff ..... these freeware people are just amazing , Open sky , HJG , KBT , Dave G and so on ..... I know there are issues for you button pushing types , but for us visual folk ..... life is good .

One off the biggest shockers .. this was well before speedy Internet , the d/load off a Posky 747 those .. well when they first come out and I just went shite frig and other naughty words .. so dang dynamic which today we all take for granted .

I recall when QANTAS had one of these into chc once or twice a week .

If memory serves, Cathay Pacific used an SP to pioneer direct Hong Kong - Heathrow flights. They chopped the pax load, and essentially topped the fuel up at the runway entry hold point, but they got there, on schedule. :thumbup:

QANTAS also had one into Wellington in the early eighties I did a few return trips between Wellington and Brisbane on it 1981 and 82 when I was working over in Australia

I was doing a little research and found a 'Wings' magazine Sep 1981 was the debut of the QANTAS 747SP into Welly, I should have scanned the photo and item.
