Funny thing was that I flew higher (and probbaly lot faster than my other GA aircraft) then I usually go in my Taupo to Hamilton flight.....anyway decided to keep going...this NZHN to NZNP...early morning flight..haven't done this for sometime...the sun rises and sun sets are quite spectacular in FSX

A rare sight nowadays...giving way to a Virgin 737 at Hamilton..actually my AI is a bit out of date

With all due respect to Flann O'Brien:

In time of trouble and lousey strife,
You have still got a darlint plan
You still can turn to a brighter life -
A radial 'plane is your only man.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Ok finally done another leg...NZNP to NZWN

Approaching the South Taranaki Bight...most of the flight was over sea so not much scenery......made a stupid mistake and didn't check the fuel before taking off :ph43r: ....ran out of fuel in main tanks and for what ever reason couldn't switch to tip tanks....had to cheat by doing some air to air refueling..

Had some elevation problems on landing so no ground shots...think that was because I had just switched from PNW back to Oceania in the Orbx Central

It's shots like that which make me think that I might have been too hasty giving up on the idea of full photo coverage for NZ...
You do make it look like a great place to fly!
