Picked this up in the Alabeo sale...I have a soft spot for round engine American Civilian aircraft..fantastic detail and a great companion to the Alabeo Waco YMF-5....probably wont fly it much as visibilty is a bit of a bugger ...(which is compounded in the sim) ...will admire a lot on the ramp though.....excellent NZ repaint from Jankees a well

Ah, yes, brilliant. I love the Staggerwing, with this paint, and I do fly it a lot, I know what you mean about the visibility, but I actually don't mind that, especially being able to rest your arm on that wood grain... The secret to taxiing is to know where you are heading, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

People go on about Alabeo as the poor relation of aircraft developers, but between them and their big brother Carenado there's enough there to keep me happy. I have always wanted at least one A2A marvel, but the price is simply prohibitive for me -- whereas I'm slowing increasing my stable from Alabeo and Carenado sales.

Nice one Naki. Yeah I bought this too during the sale, love the lines of the machine, pretty interesting history too.
PS - fair call re the visibility, I've got a TrackIR kit which makes a big difference, particularly on final approach/landing as without it your landing in the dark almost.

For anyone else considering this machine there's a very detailed review of it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXOvCOV2NqU

I even got my daughter and her friends flying it on the weekend :D

That thing is GORGEOUS! What a stunner! I'd love to have a go with it - I really can't justify payware though.

Looking around a lot off payware , lot off credible company's really are starting to shine , specific the mechanical detail , its when you get these company's who get the real time drivers and people who have access to the types , it just depends today what you know and who.
