Nice shots don't be shy the carrier is just like landing on a runway only shorter. Tips and tricks 1st make sure you have the landing weight otherwise you'll never have the right approach speed it'll be to high a speed. Next AoA the aim is to have a green donut on the left of the Hud so use trim and throttle changes to adjust speed/AoA for approach. Hook, Gear, Full Flaps(Shift F)

Upon landing you can fold wings if there is other aircraft inbound and then park up or move to the ramp push U and take off again.(U positions you on the ramp all you do is full flaps (Shift F) and then full afterburner and it will launch). :plane:

Compared to FSX you don't have vLSO which is quite handy and teaches the pilot how to get the approach right but DCS has yet to have a meatball so the approach is more by seat of the pants stuff. It does have though ILS and something else lol autopilot which in the SU33s case = Auto land.

So 1 goto instant action SU33 recovery
2 g gear, Shift F flaps
3 Alt G for Hook
4 push 1 twice to get ILS mode
5 push A and there you have it, it'll land itself. For the noob like me take note of the height and AoA on approach and distance and then at some point have a crack at landing. You can hit A to turn auto pilot off and do the landing bit yourself for practice.

BTW I discovered autoland quite by mistake, one day I happened to bother using autopilot and noticed the plane start the approach by itself which is very handy. To late for all those Airwolves Squadron missions where I crashed the SU33 lol. :D
