The BAe146/Avro RJ´s are the last pure british civilian aircraft... and they are meanwhile in the stadium the be phased out. Some airlines have the so called "Jumbolino" in use in Europe. One of them is Brussels Airlines the follow on of the SABENA.

We have an evening flight today from Brussels Zaventem to Göteborg Landvetter in Sweden. (Meanwhile we have a newer version of this airport at simmarket..) The weather is no good at the moment, good idea to hold the seatbelt closed on the flight...

We are underway...

We are the next... in the backgound a Lufthansa-reto-Airbus is underway...

Image

Starting into the evening... and bad weather...

Image

A bit slow... but we have it fixed...

Image

Image

Have look at the Asterix-Logo on the door...

Image

Image

Not much the see on the ground today, typical for winter...

On approach...

Image

Th Avro RJ´s are fitted with autoland capability. No work to hold the glideslope...

Image

She is so slow... I am stunning, ho´w slow she can fly...

Image

Have a look at the "Butterfly-Spoiler" on this aircraft. She has no thrust reverser at the engines, but this one...

Can a Jumbolino dock on? A don´t know....

Aircraft is the Avro RJ 100 made by Qualitywings (QW) The Airport Brussels is from Aerosoft and Göteborg Landvetter is from RC-DESIGN found at Simmarket. Rest is like the other stuff from me.

I know, that Just Flight has also a nice BAe 146-200/300, but i like the newer Avro RJ in this package. All in all this from QW is in my eyes the better, because her you have 20 years of evolution from the first BAe 146-100 to the last Avro´s RJ 100´s in on package to a moderate price and it is a really good representation of the last pure british airliner. I like them and you can fly this jet in to difficult airports, normally a job for a DASH 8-400...

Thank You...

In 2014 I was for the first time in Belgium and like the flair of the old towns with so much historical buildings...

SABENA... and it´s end in the eye of the storm around Swissair, was bitter, but it looks, that the new airline Brussels Air makes something better. That they have some older aircraft is not a problem for me. I am often enough in East Europe and see old aircraft in not so good shape. The new livery from Brussels Airlines ... must see, if it is available for the QW Avro...
